ABBEY COCKTAIL

2 oz gin
1½ oz orange juice
2 dashes orange bitters
1 maraschino cherry


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, orange juice, and orange bitters. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the cherry.



ALEXANDER

1½ oz gin
1 oz white creme de cacao
1 oz light creme
? tsp grated nutmeg


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, creme de cacao, and cream. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the nutmeg.



ARCADIA

1½ oz gin
½ oz Galliano
½ oz creme de bananes
½ oz grapefruit juice


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



ARTHUR TOMPKINS

2 oz gin
½ oz Grand Marnier
2 tsp lemon juice
1 lemon twist


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, Grandy Marnier, and lemon juice. Shake well. Strain into a sour glass and garnish with the lemon twist.



BANNISTER

Crushed ice
1½ oz gin
1 oz applejack
1 tsp Pernod
½ tsp grenadine


In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



BEAUTY SPOT

1½ oz gin
2 tsp white creme de cacao
1 egg white
½ tsp grenadine


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, creme de cacao, and egg white. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Drop the grenadine into the center of the drink.



BERMUDA ROSE

Crushed ice
2 oz gin
½ oz apricot brandy
1 tsp grenadine


In a mixing glass half-filled with crushed ice, combine all of the ingredients. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



BERNARDO

2 oz gin
½ oz Cointreau or triple sec
2 tsp lemon juice
2 dashes bitters
1 lemon twist


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, and bitters. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist.



BLUEBIRD

Crushed ice
1½ oz gin
½ oz Cointreau or triple sec
½ oz blue Curacao
2 dashes bitters
1 lemon twist
1 maraschino cherry


In a mixing glass half-filled with crushed ice, combine the gin, Cointreau, Curacao, and bitters. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist and the cherry.



BOOMERANG

2 oz gin
½ oz dry vermouth
2 dashes bitters
½ tsp maraschino liqueur
1 maraschino cherry


In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, vermouth, bitters, and maraschino liqueur. Stir well. Strain into a glass and garnish with the cherry.



THE BRONX AIN'T SO SWEET

1½ oz gin
1 tsp dry vermouth
½ oz orange juice


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



CARARET

1 oz gin
½ oz dry vermouth
½ oz Benedictine
2 dashes bitters
1 maraschino cherry


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, vermouth, Benedictine, and bitters. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the cherry.



CAPTAIN COOK

1½ oz gin
½ oz maraschino liqueur
1 oz orange juice


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



CAROLI

Crushed ice
2 oz gin
½ oz apricot brandy

½ oz Cointreau or triple sec
2 tsp lemon juice


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



CRIMSON SUNSET

2 oz gin
2 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp grenadine
½ oz tawny port


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin and lemon juice. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Drop the grenadine into the center of the drink and float the port on the top.



DIRTY DICK'S DOWNFALL

2 oz gin
½ oz dry vermouth
½ oz Campari
1 lemon twist


In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, vermouth, and Campari. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist.



EMERALD ISLE

Crushed ice
2 oz gin
2 tsp green creme de menthe
1 dash bitters


In a mixing glass half-filled with crushed ice, combine all of the ingredients. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



FARMER GILES

2 oz gin
½ oz dry vermouth
½ oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes bitters
1 lemon twist


In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, and bitters. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist.



FIFTY FIFTY

1½ oz gin
1½ oz dry vermouth
1 cocktail olive


In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin and vermouth. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the olive.



FLYING DUTCHMAN

2 oz gin
½ oz Cointreau or triple sec


In an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes, combine the gin and Cointreau. Stir well.



GENTLEMEN'S CLUB

1½ oz gin
1 oz brandy
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz club soda


In an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Stir well.



GIBSON

2½ oz gin
1½ tsp dry vermouth
3 cocktail onions


In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin and vermouth. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the onions.



GIMLET

2 oz gin
½ oz Rose's lime juice
1 lime wedge


Pour the gin and lime juice into a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lime wedge.



GIN AND TONIC

2 oz gin
5 oz tonic water
1 lime wedge


Pour the gin and the tonic water into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with the lime wedge.



GIN-CASSIS FIZZ

2½ oz gin
1½ oz lemon juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
4 oz club soda
½ oz creme de cassis


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir well. Drop the cassis into the center of the drink.



GIN FIX

1 tsp superfine sugar
1 oz lemon juice
2 tsp water
Crushed ice
2 oz gin
1 maraschino cherry
1 lemon slice


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the sugar, lemon juice, and water. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass almost filled with crushed ice. Add the gin. Stir well and garnish with the cherry and the lemon slice.



GIN SMASH

4 fresh mint sprigs
1 tsp superfine sugar
1 oz club soda
2½ oz gin
1 lemon twist


In an old-fashioned glass, muddle the mint sprigs lightly with sugar and club soda. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add the gin. Stir well and garnish with the lemon twist.



GIN SWIZZLE

1½ oz lime juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
2 oz gin
1 dash bitters
3 oz club soda


In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the lime juice, sugar, gin, and bitters. Shake well. Almost fill a collins glass with ice cubes. Stir until the glass is frosted. Strain the mixture in the shaker into a glass and add the club soda. Serve with a swizzle stick.
